Sheffield Doc/Fest Youth Jury
Love film? Sheffield Doc/Fest wants YOU for their ‘life-changing’ Youth Jury Interested in documentary making and watching? Do you have an opinion about film and its place in the world? Aged 16 to 21? If yes, Sheffield Doc/Fest wants to hear from you! Sheffield Doc/Fest is looking for new voices for the world of documentary, and you could be one of them. Five talented 16-21 year olds from around the UK will be chosen to make up this year’s Sheffield Doc/Fest Youth Jury. The successful applicants will form the judging panel that award one documentary the Sheffield Youth Jury Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest in June, 2013. The closing date for applications is Friday 22 February Successful applicants will be invited to an interview on Tuesday 5 March The Hothouse will take place in London (travel and accommodation included) 27-29 March Sheffield Doc/Fest will take place from 12-16 June 2013. First Light is a UK wide organisation that uses film and media production to develop skills in young people aged up to 25. They identify talented young people from a wide range of backgrounds and enable them to achieve their potential through targeted training activities, led by film and media industry professionals that develop creative and technical production skills, as well as a range of ‘life skills’. First Light is unique in that they offer realistic progression routes for talented young people to find employment in the creative sector by working closely with industry partners

Flipside Film Festival
The Flipside Youth Film Festival is an annual showcase of short films under 10 minutes made by Young People aged 10-25 from across London. They also offer workshops and other opportunities.
